Delete Your Tempra Account
Effective date: October 2, 2026
Last updated: October 2, 2026
In short. Signed-in delete disables your Tempra account immediately and then asks Clerk to cancel paid items and delete the sign-in. If Clerk is down, Tempra can still accept the deletion request. That is not proof Clerk cancelled billing or finished erasure. Employers keep what they already received.
How to request deletion
The primary account-deletion control is available after sign-in:
- Open Account.
- Choose Delete my account, review the warning, and confirm. Tempra immediately disables the matching Tempra account, signs the browser out, and begins safe data erasure. It requests cancellation of every non-ended Clerk subscription item and deletion of the Clerk sign-in identity. If Clerk cannot complete those steps, Tempra still accepts the local deletion and keeps retrying Clerk in the background. Cancellation cannot recall information already saved or received by an employer.
If you cannot sign in, send a deletion or privacy-rights request to jason@usetempra.com from the account email address when possible. State that you want to delete your Tempra account. Do not email a password, full government ID, payment-card number, or unnecessary sensitive information. We may request proportionate information needed to verify the requester and the account.
An authorized agent may submit a request where applicable law permits. We may verify the agent's authority and, where allowed, confirm the request directly with the account holder.
What the current deletion process does
Deletion is based on your signed-in account. It does not accept a user ID typed in by the browser. Tempra first disables the matching Tempra account, cancels queued work, and requests cancellation of running work. It then asks Clerk to end every non-ended subscription item and delete that Clerk identity. If Clerk later sends a signed user-deletion event, Tempra applies the same local disable as a backup. If Clerk fails, Tempra can still accept the deletion request and retry Clerk later. Running automation and hosted-browser access must end before Tempra can safely erase related records.
Tempra's separate lifecycle process then attempts to delete registered resume, academic-transcript, and diagnostic objects from active object storage and erase registered active-service records associated with the account, including:
- the application profile and normalized work, education, language, social, preference, eligibility, and disclosure records;
- registered resume and academic-transcript files and metadata;
- application, job, saved profile-snapshot, diagnostic-artifact, usage, and credit records;
- subscription records held in Tempra's application database; and
- ordinary account-linked audit events.
The deletion process keeps a minimal disabled-account record and erasure status so a delayed sign-in token or webhook cannot silently recreate an erased account. It can also retain a limited erasure-completion record and replay-protection records that are needed to prevent duplicate provider events.
This lifecycle is asynchronous and retryable. It waits through a safety period and defers completion while work, browser access, or object deletion remains active or uncertain. Storage errors are retried rather than recording deletion that did not occur. Tempra does not currently publish a fixed number of days for completion or a customer-facing erasure-status email.
Subscription cancellation
The current one-click path requests that Clerk Billing end each configured paid subscription item and then delete the Clerk identity. If Clerk cannot confirm those operations, Tempra still accepts the local deletion and retries Clerk. Acceptance of deletion is not a billing receipt. If a charge still appears, contact jason@usetempra.com before the next renewal.
Information Tempra cannot recall or delete directly
Account deletion cannot recall an application, resume, answer, file, or other information already received or saved by an employer, applicant-tracking system, or another independently responsible third party. Contact the employer or platform directly to request correction, withdrawal, or deletion under its process.
AI providers, Anchor Browser, authentication and payment providers, infrastructure providers, and other service providers may retain limited operational, security, legal, billing, recovery, or backup records under their terms and applicable law. Deletion from Tempra's active database does not establish physical deletion from every backup, database branch, remote-browser recording, provider log, or unregistered storage object.
Tempra remains responsible for making required deletion requests to providers acting on its behalf.
We may retain limited information when required or permitted for taxes, accounting, payment disputes, fraud prevention, security, legal obligations, or establishing and defending legal claims. A legal exception is not permission to retain unrelated data indefinitely. We will explain a material applicable exception when responding to a verified request.
Timing, confirmation, and irreversible effects
Clerk's confirmation that the sign-in identity was deleted is not confirmation that Tempra's asynchronous erasure has completed. Tempra will respond within the deadline required by applicable law and notify the requester of a permitted extension or exception where required.
Once active Tempra records and objects are erased, Tempra may be unable to restore the profile, resume, application history, credits, or other account content. If you need a copy of information Tempra holds, email jason@usetempra.com before you delete the account.
Other privacy requests
You may request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, objection, consent withdrawal, or another right available under applicable law without using this exact account-deletion process. Deleting an account is broader than correcting one field or deleting one resume. Use the process in the Privacy Policy and tell us the result you want.
Deleting a Tempra account does not prevent you from separately contacting an employer about its records, a payment provider about its legally retained transaction data, or a regulator about a privacy concern.
